I have been toying with the idea of finally updating my "Home Page." Previously, it was only my CV hosted on Google App Engine, but it became rather annoying to update regularly.

I was considering setting up something simpler. I didn't like the idea of having to set up an entire full-featured blogging platform like WordPress or something similar. I wanted something simple, something that I could easily update using any text editor, and that wouldn't require more than the Apache web server to host it. Thus, I started looking into static website generators.

When I came across Cryogen, I was convinced. It looked exactly like what I needed, so I decided to start my personal site using it.
